This page explains what we can and cannot help with, and where official Garland County criminal-record questions usually belong. Most requests need a government custodian, not this private site, so the routing below points each record type to the office most likely to hold it.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept record-sealing filings for anyone. For any of those, contact the proper government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Here are the usual starting points for Garland County records:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, search Search ARCourts / CourtConnect, or contact the clerk of the court that handled the case
  • Criminal records and rap sheets: use Arkansas Criminal History (ARCH) or the Arkansas State Police / ACIC process that fits the request
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Garland County Sheriff's Department or Garland County Detention Center, depending on the record
  • Official background checks: use ARCH for public Arkansas name checks or Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau / Arkansas Live Scan channels for fingerprint-based review
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report, such as Hot Springs Police Records for city police records
  • Record sealing: file with the court that handled the case and confirm any ACIC update through official channels

District Court is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and closes from 11:00 a.m. to noon for lunch.

The Prosecuting Attorney is at 501 Ouachita Avenue, Suite 107, 501-622-3720, open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hot Springs Police Records is at 641 Malvern Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901, 501-321-6789 ext. 6707, open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Garland County NextRequest is for county public records; Hot Springs NextRequest is for city records. Under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, Ark. Code Ann. 25-19-101 et seq., the county FAQ states that requests apply to Arkansas citizens, custodians may ask for proof of citizenship, anonymous requests cannot be processed, and NextRequest requires a valid email. Records are immediate unless they are in active use or storage, in which case the usual deadline is within three business days. Paper copies may be charged at actual reproduction cost, electronic copies generally have no cost, and qualifying law-enforcement audio or video may be charged at $20 per hour. Body and vehicle camera footage begins with April 2023 usage.
